Scouting is the UK’s biggest mixed youth organisation. We change lives by offering 4 to those who are young at heart, fun, challenging activities and personal development that make a positive impact in local communities.
Newmarket District consists of 12 Groups, 2 Explorer Units & 1 Young Leader Unit.
We are a strong District consisting currently of over 700 young members and 300 Adults covering over 228 sq. miles.
Newmarket District was first formed in 1916 when Form B signed ‘as formed’ on 27th May, signed by Headquarters on 26th June and stamped as fully recognised 6th July 1916.
